Curated by the young artists of 5th and 6th classes from Scoil Naomh Bríd National School, this special exhibition brings together works from The Ballinglen Permanent Collection alongside artworks created by the children themselves. With a theme of marine biodiversity running throughout, the exhibition celebrates the sea, its life, and its presence in our coastal community. The title chosen by the students, “GLEO,” refers to the sound of the sea when loud and ominous, akin to loud human or machine noise, foretelling bad weather. Collected by Manchán Magan from Pap Murphy, Leithinis an Mhuirthead, Co. Mayo.

We invite you to come and experience this thoughtful and imaginative collaboration between young artists and The Ballinglen Permanent Collection.

Exhibition supported by The Heritage Council and The Heritage Organisations Support Fund. Special thanks to Artist Emma Donoghue for her guidance and expertise with the children.
