The good fortune of having received a Fellowship, was one of the high points of this artist's life. A change of environment, unlimited studio time, a staggeringly beautiful landscape, the wonderful spirit of the local population, the most helpful and kind BAF support staff, all came together at a much-needed moment. This experience fueled a long productive period of art making and a deep well of lasting memories. - Dan Gualdoni
