Amy Metier

painter & printmaker

Amy Metier has an MFA in Painting and is a former Professor of Fine Arts at Metropolitan State University of Denver. 

 She has led painting workshops in both Giverny and La Napoule in France and at Ballinglen Arts Foundation.  

 Metier has been awarded artist residencies at Vermont Studio Center, the American Academy in Rome, the Ballinglen Foundation and the Mandelieu La Napoule and the Alfred Klotts Foundations in France. She exhibits at the William Havu Gallery in Denver and in Scottsdale, Arizona. 

Metier’s abstract paintings are in the collections of the Denver Art Museum and the Kirkland Museum in Denver as well as private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
